Which ages can register?
ActivStars karate is open to boys and girls ages 4 and up, with age-appropriate classes for kids and teens. Limited family adult participation is welcome.
What if I am not sure my child is ready?
Age is a guide, not a rule. Ask yourself whether your child can follow simple instructions for 30 to 45 minutes, feels comfortable separating from you for class, and shows interest in trying. Because our beginner classes start at $10 and there is no long contract, it is easy to try one and see how your child responds.
What should I do before registering at any Scottsdale karate school?
This checklist works for any school you are considering:
Confirm the age range. Ask the minimum age and how classes are divided.
Visit or try a class. Watch how instructors treat beginners and shy kids.
Ask about the full cost. Registration, tuition, uniforms, belt testing and cancellation terms should all be clear before you sign.
Check the contract. Ask whether there is a long-term commitment.
Ask about instructors. Look for trained, certified teachers who are experienced with children.
Pick a convenient location. The best school is the one your child will attend consistently.
