The Advanced Class Structure

Our advanced classes run 90 minutes once a week at $13 per class — longer than beginner sessions because there's simply more to cover. The pace is faster, expectations are higher, and the rewards are bigger.

Advanced students aren't just polishing their own skills — they're learning to model the way for younger students. Our curriculum builds leadership intentionally: communication, accountability, mentorship, and the ability to give clear, encouraging feedback.

Sparring, Weapons, and Tournament Prep

Teens at the advanced level can supplement their main class with weekly 30-minute sparring sessions ($4) and weapons training. Those who want to compete get coached on tournament strategy, ring presence, and sportsmanship.

The Senpai Apprenticeship Pathway

Once a teen earns black belt and proves themselves as a Senpai — a senior student who helps lead drills — they may qualify for our coaching apprenticeship. Apprentices learn how to plan a class, manage a group, communicate with parents, and eventually lead their own students. For some, that pathway turns a high-school commitment into a paid coaching role and, down the road, a full instructor career.
