Patrick Schafer’s favorite superhero is the Silver Surfer, and he enjoys the quirky cartoon *Courage the Cowardly Dog*. His top movie pick is *The Empire Strikes Back*, and he can’t resist a good burger. One of the most enjoyable things he’s ever done is teaching, although he admits that heights make him uneasy. Musically, he’s a fan of both Type O Negative and Falamansa. His dream vacation is simply any day not spent in the office for eight hours straight. Growing up, he was nicknamed “Grilo,” and when it comes to cereal, he keeps it simple with plain puffed millet and milk.

Sensei Nathaniel’s favorite superhero is Iron Man, and he enjoys watching SpongeBob SquarePants. His favorite movie is *Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3*, and he never says no to tacos. One of the most exciting things he’s ever done is surfing. He admits to being scared of centipedes, but he finds energy in the music of Denzel Curry. If given the chance, his dream vacation would be to Greece. Growing up, he was called “Nate,” and his favorite cereal is Reese’s Puffs.

Sensei Jeoffrey the wonder boy" is a skilled karate instructor who draws inspiration from his favorite cartoon Naruto. When he's not teaching, he indulges in his favorite food, pork blood stew, and unwinds with Titanic. He's not a fan of cereal but loves his students' discipline.

Sensei Richard’s favorite superhero is the Human Torch, and he enjoys the anime *One Piece*. His favorite movie is *Pulp Fiction*, and when it comes to food, he prefers anything he doesn’t have to cook. One of his most memorable experiences was living in Antarctica for a year. He admits to being scared of sharks and enjoys listening to Dave Brubeck’s *Take Five*. His dream vacation is simply one that’s fully paid for. Growing up, his nickname was “Pooh,” and instead of a traditional cereal, he humorously lists cereal malt beverages as his favorite.

An enthusiast with a penchant for all things superhero, especially the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! However, even a superhero like him can have a quirky moment, like the time he forgot his pants on the way to school! And let's not forget his unique fear - those bushy-tailed critters, squirrels!
Steven Brown
An admiration for Batman and Phineas and Ferb are a fun mix for Sierra. She's resilient and four stitches from a slip 'n slide mishap at church, are testament to that, also the fact that her biggest fear are jump scares! Her childhood nickname "Giggles" in her youth, helps her have lightheartedness and joy to her personality.

She’s so cool having surfed over at Santorini, Greece. A movie saga maven, she loves Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars. She is all about safety but smiles when remembering lecturing someone about being safe only to get hurt herself a few seconds later. You’ll get on her good side if you bring her some BBQ ribs!

Taking cues from his favorite superhero, Spider-Man, Michael infuses his classes with agility and quick reflexes. One of his fondest memories was attending Star Wars in Concert, a testament to his love for epic storytelling and music. Dreaming of the bustling streets of New York, he envisions immersing himself in the energy and culture of the city.

Arthur is a martial arts maven who has a soft spot for the witty and irreverent Deadpool! His taste in movies? Anything that offers the perfect opportunity for a nap! As for his most amusing escapade, well, let's just say it's classified. And don't even get him started on nicknames from his childhood!

Meet Matthew "RAG" Stuckey. His top movie pick is Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Off the mat, he savors a juicy steak and has even turned a tournament mishap into a captivating performance that won him first place. He has a fear of snakes but finds peace in the rhythms of his favorite musical group, RUSH. Known as "RAG" since childhood, his initials have become a symbol of his unique identity.
Ryan Gussman
Master Michael loves the classics, The Beatles, Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon, and To Kill a Mockingbird. If you don’t know what those are, come take a class and ask him. He’s not afraid of anything (like when he once kissed a goat), but death itself. His cereal of choice is Honey Nut Cheerios and his favorite food is steak.

He’s a fan of the movie *Bloodsport* and loves a good plate of BBQ chicken. While adventurous, he’s not a fan of snakes or bull riding. Cole’s favorite band is Sublime, and his dream vacation would take him to Korea or Japan. As a kid, he was affectionately nicknamed “Coley Son,” and when it comes to breakfast, nothing beats a bowl of Frosted Flakes.

Dylan's fear of wasted time drives him to instill a sense of purpose and dedication in his students.

An admirer of the ingenuity and determination of Iron Man, Sensei Alex infuses his classes with a touch of genius and ambition. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant world of Orange, he injects creativity and energy into his teachings. One of his most amusing experiences was tripping and falling during an awards night, reminding him to embrace lightheartedness and resilience.

Sensei Ashton Lovitt’s fun facts reveal a mix of adventurous spirit and unique interests. His favorite superhero is Kamen Rider, and he enjoys watching Kamen Rider or Pokémon. His top movie pick is *Heisei Generations Forever*, and when it comes to food, he loves curry and ramen. One of his favorite experiences was playing school-wide tag, though he admits he’s scared of needles. He’s a fan of the band Five Finger Death Punch and dreams of one day climbing Mount Fuji. I love Superman, Looney Tunes cartoons, and my favorite movie is The Outlaw Josey Wales (love Clint Eastwood). Tacos are my weakness, and the craziest, most fun thing I’ve ever done was throwing a football between two driving cars. If I had to choose a favorite cereal, Crunch Berries would be up there!

He enjoys the humor and wit of The Simpsons. Sensei Carl's sense of adventure extends beyond the dojo. Learning to surf in the waves of Hawaii is just one example of his fearless spirit and determination to conquer new challenges.
Carl Perry
Also has been called Monkey, Erica can laugh at herself, like the time she made a hot air balloon out of a box and big bag. After launching it, the wind caught it and it flew back smacking her in the face. Some other fun things about Erica is that she loves listening to Bug Hunter, is scared of snakes, and loves Philly Cheesesteaks and Fruity Pebbles.

Meet Sheridan "Ace" Saint-Michel. Inspired by the heartwarming adventures of Bluey, he infuses his classes with a sense of camaraderie. Sheridan loves sushi and the funnest thing he's done is witness his daughter earn her black belt. He dreams of exploring the rich traditions of Japan. Known as "Ace" in his youth, Sheridan brings that same sense of confidence and determination to his classes.

A Black Panther fan, Keith likes a whole bunch of things including John Wick movies, chicken and spinach, Cap’n Crunch, and the ripcord ride at Worlds of Fun. Never wanting to miss an opportunity, “Keedy Kat” as he is sometimes called, will one day visit Asia (Japan, China, Korea).

Master Logan loves Japan, from listening to his favorite band The Sixth Lie (Japanese electronic rock band) to taking a dream cultural and historical vacation to the country. He even loves busting out Karaoke tunes with his crackly voice. His favorite movie is Dead Poet Society, so Carpe Diem and seize the day!

His childhood nickname is "Beans," but that's not his favorite food, that would be chicken! He dreams of exploring Japan.

A fan of timeless cinema, his favorite movie is *The Godfather*, and when it comes to comfort food, nothing beats a warm bowl of wonton noodle soup. Despite his martial arts skills, he admits to being scared of spiders. He enjoys listening to The Eagles, and his dream vacation would be spending a week relaxing on a beautiful beach in Asia. Growing up, he was affectionately nicknamed “Penga,” and his go-to cereal is the classic Rice Krispies.

A Marvel Universe aficionado of the Avengers-Endgame, Jon is a kid at heart who loves chicken nuggets, vacations with his family, and Pokémon cartoons. He likes Spiderman but not spiders. A down to earth guy who enjoys country music (Rascal Flatts), he thinks it would be cool to one day climb the Great Pyramids of Egypt.

Heather’s favorite superhero is Thor, but she also enjoys watching Winnie the Pooh and the Princess Diaries. Make no mistake about it though, Master “Yabi” is one tough cookie despite her fear of snakes. She’s snorkeled with turtles and also enjoys listening to country music (Reba Mcentire). She dreams about having a gelato in Italy one day.

Master “Markie” is a Fruit Loops cereal man and loves Billy Joel the Piano Man. He’s all things scuba and can’t wait to explore ruins on his next dive. He likes the Lord of the Rings and Star Wars sagas and relaxing to Scooby Doo cartoons while munching on Tacos! Can you say, Taco/Toon Tuesdays!

Just like his favorite cartoon, Teen Titans, Sensei Zach knows the power of teamwork and camaraderie. However, his playful side knows no bounds! Picture Sensei Zach, towel draped as a cape, running around belting out the Batman theme. Ironically for this karate master, he has a kryptonite: heights! The ground may be his domain, but ask him to scale a ladder, and you'll see a different side of this fearless instructor.

Riley has so many favorites we don’t have enough room to list them all. You’ll have to just ask him. He is an expert of cartoons from the classic Bugs Bunny to Anime with One Punch Man being a current favorite. If you have 12 hours to spare, join him in an extended cut marathon of the epic Lord of the Rings with Teriyaki Thin-Cut Flank Steak…doesn’t get any better than that!
Riley Thompson
I am Iron Man or Toper as he is more commonly called. Mike is an 80’s guy grooving to the smooth tunes of Earth, Wind, and Fire or Chicago (Hey, at least Peter Cetera had a theme song for Karate Kid). His favorite food is a Jack Stack Ham & Beef Sandwich, which he accompanies with a nice portion of his favorite cartoon, Veggie Tales.

Hanshi Cris Valenzuela Sr. is a true Batman fan—both as his favorite superhero and in “Batman: The Animated Series.” He loves the movie *The Three Amigos*, enjoys a perfectly seared ribeye steak, and says the funnest thing he’s ever done is play with his kids. While he claims to fear only “rational fears,” his music of choice is Metallica, and his dream vacation spot is the sci-fi paradise Fhloston Paradise. As a kid, he was nicknamed “Seabass,” and when it comes to cereal, Magic Spoon is his go-to.
Cris Valenzuela Sr.
Steve’s so tall he’s scared of heights, but that’s Life (cereal of choice). He believes Batman is a true superhero because, without any superpowers, he’s still able to make a difference through martial arts. Steve once got lost in Florence, Italy, with a group of friends and had a Rush (favorite band) of an adventure. Enjoys watching Pokémon with his kids.

Kris loves all things kids from watching the Flintstones, Jetsons, Bugs Bunny, and Elmer Fudd to eating her fave cereals Peanut Butter Captain Crunch and Cocoa Pebbles…not mixed although that sounds like a Reese’s. She’s scared of heights but that didn’t stop her from jumping off 180 floors at the Stratosphere in Las Vegas…a big believer of overcoming your fears for sure!

What does Wonder Woman, Futurama, Surf Ninjas, and Twiztids have in common? They happen to be some of Monkey’s (Trey’s nickname) favorite things (superhero, cartoon, movie, and music group). He’s also a fan of Hunan Canton Dishes and spending time in Okinawa. But don’t mention robots, not a fan.
